Mar98 ProPoc HTML interface The following entities are exported to HTML: - projects - tasks (activities, milestones, subprojects, summary tasks) - resources Which items are actually exported depends on the screen mode ( detail/outline ) and the active filters (show, but only). The sort order is the same as on the screen. Which items are displayed in the HTML-graphics depends on the settings for the normal screen mode. The page names are generated by ProPoc. They consist of file identifier (1 letter), object type, and the internal object ID. The ID never changes during the lifetime of an object, even if the object name is changed. The file identifier allows to merge the pages of up to 26 project files into one directory. ProPoc maps the file names to identifiers by creating empty auxiliary files *.IX? . For instance, "publish.IXA" maps file "publish.pjt" to identifier "A". ProPoc automatically generates a page CONTENT.HTM which lists all the HTM files in the directory. If a masterfile is used, the masterfile should be converted first. Links to the master file will then be created automatically. If the project contains subprojects, the subproject files should be converted to HTML as well. In addition, extra pages can be created with report functions such as resource schedule, cashflow analysis, bottleneck analysis, baseline. The file names for reports consist of file identifier, followed by "rpt" and a sequence number. You overwrite a report HTML page only by manually deleting the old page. The best way to create a project HTML documentation with additional reports is to save the project as HTML, then create additional reports. This will ensure that all links are created. ProPoc uses a standard layout for all pages. Make sure to fill out the Header, Footer and Email field to insert you address. The standard text variables can be used in Header and Footer: %P page name %D date %T time %F project file name %% single % character Output the HTML is controlled by a template file (DEFAULT.HTM). You can create your own template files (for instance with the company logo): 1. Make a copy of DEFAULT.HTM 2. Modify the copy using a text editor Template files contain several variables, such as %title% or %data% which are replaced by ProPoc with project data. Other variables such as %TH_color% and %TR_color% control the colour layout. (see the comments in DEFAULT.HTM). If you use additional HTML-resources such as GIF-files in your own template file, you must add a %copy% line for each to copy the file to the destination directory. You can use full path specifications - the default directory is the directory of the template file. The file CANVAS.GIF in \APP\PROPOC\ is copied to the target folder and controls the background of all pages. You can modify this file to your requirements or change or remove the BACKGROUND parameter in the template file. If graphics are generated, another set of GIF images is copied to the target folder. These are used to build up the graphics. You may modify the content of these elements, but leave the dimension unchanged. Some of these images (*) are used with different WIDTH specifications, so if you use patterns, they should be neutral to horizontal stretching.
